Dems appear to have the votes
The latest breaking news is that a deal has been reached with Bart Stupak and other pro-life lawmakers for them to vote for the bill. If true, that would almost certainly cinch the vote for Pelosi. It now appears upwards of 95% that the House will approve HC reform today! WOO HOOO!!!

On the other hand, new news reports indicate that there is no deal with Stupak but that talks continue. This is still in doubt, but with the odds favoring passage fairly strongly. Obama and Pelosi will look incredibly weak and foolish if this fails by 1 or 2 votes, and both have gifts to bestow in exchange for votes.
Stupak just gave a news conference in which he said he was voting for the bill. He probably also brings another vote or two with him. This should seal the deal and ensure health care reform passes today!
